Neem oil is something that has been around for along time. From the Neem plant and tree, you find this oil in many regions of the world. It is not used for cooking, but in many places, such as India and Bangladesh, you will find it used in different kinds of products for people, such as soaps and hair products, as well as body creams and hand creams. In many places, Neem oil is used in traditional folklore and medicine. There are many ailments in the traditional medicines that are solved and treated by Neem oil. Also, there are many ancient texts that have been found in the Ayurvedic and Unani cultures that tell us that Neem oil has been used for many years to treat things such as inflammations, fevers, skin diseases, and even rheumatic disorders.

Something else that Neem oil has been used for, quite recently, is to repel insects and also as a natural insecticide. In these cultures, it was always used as a way to simply keep bugs away, but recently it has been picked up and it has been tested and used in the mainstream cultures for getting rid of bugs.

There have been many kinds of natural pesticides created using different forms of Neem oil. It has recently been used as a bio-pesticide quite popularly in organic farming. There are many bugs that the Neem oil and the products made with Neem oil will repel. These include mealy bugs, aphids, cabbage worms, beet armyworms, nematodes, and even the Japanese beetle. The great thing about this list is that it contains just about all of the pesky bugs that are usually bothering us. However, many of these bugs require different chemicals to kill them, if you were to use chemicals instead of organic substances. With one type of oil, you can make sure that these pests stay away from your home and your yard. The oil is completely non-toxic and isn’t going to pollute the land or the soil in any way.

Besides for repelling all of these different insects and bugs, the Neem Oil is completely non-toxic to mammals and birds. It also doesn’t harm many of the insects that are beneficial to us, such as honeybees and lady bugs. This means that you can use the Neem oil pretty much freely on whatever you think you have a bug problem with. It will keep all of the bad insects away and protect the insects that aren’t going to do any harm. It is also not going to hurt your animals or your children if they stumble into it. Besides for ridding us of insects we don’t’ want anyway, Neem oil can also help to control many harmful molds and fungus, like black spot, anthracnose, and powdery mildew. Imagine, being able to take care of all of the pests that you dislike, as well as getting rid of the disgusting molds and mildews that can really harm your family and your home as well.

If you are going to use Neem oil as a bio-pesticide, you should make sure that you dilute it at about 1 teaspoon of pure Neem oil to one quart of water, or 4 teaspoons per gallon of water. If you add a surfactant to it, you will see that it is even more enhanced.  This is a great substance that has been used for many, many years. You can use it as well, cheaply and easily. By using Neem oil you can provide yourself, your home, and your yard with all kinds of protection, all without the possibility of polluting in any way.
