The red spider mites come into my home each fall. Not on my plants. They bite us and get into bedding, etc. We live in Colorado. What suggestion can you give me to get rid of them? We have a small infant and do not want to use chemicals. We were thinking maybe steam cleaning the carpet might work. I understand they can come from underneath the carpet padding and bred there. There are juniper trees around the house but not close to the house. None of them look unhealthy. The house itself is made of wood and has wood on the exterior but I am not sure what kind of wood.
