Understanding Tree Roses
There are many different types of roses out there that you have to choose from, and tree roses are one of the types that are out there. Tree roses are a really great type of roses, and if you are interested in learning about how to plant and take care of tree roses, then you are definitely going to want to read on so that you can learn more about them.
Taking Care Of Tree Roses
Although tree roses are by far one of the most popular types of roses out there, far too many people do not properly understand about how to take care of them, and thus they end up having serious problems with the roses.
Therefore, if you think that you are going to be interested in planting these types of roses, then you are going to have to make sure that you are completely knowledgeable in regards to how to plant and take care of them, before you attempt to do this on your own.
You basically have to treat this plant as though it were two separate plants, as the flowering portion is grafted onto a trunk; these two root stock roses for trunks are grown in a field and then when the rose nursery wants to graft some rose trees, these root stock roses are dug up and then the top is sawn off when they are dormant in order to produce a root with a single large trunk.
The rose nursery will then graft a flowering portion onto the top of the single trunk, grow it for a season, and then send it to a retail nursery as a tree rose. Therefore you have two roses to grow – one on the top and one on the bottom.
There are many differences between this plant and others, one in particular which is that of overwintering the plant; your main objective is to keep both the top and bottom alive during the winter, and this can tend to be quite a challenge.
However there are many different methods that you can use in order to make this work, and one in particular is to dig a trench in your garden, and then dig up the tree rose, prune the top, and then lay the tree rose in the trench and backfill it with the soil.

Even still, I would like to go through them for any beginner gardener out there. [...]
It’s not quite time to start winterizing your roses but I figured that now would be the perfect time to discuss the topic since you don’t want to leave your roses until winter is almost upon us. You will find that most roses should be winterized in November. More than likely they will still be [...]
With all the talk of fall that I have had over the last week, I have almost given up hope and started packing in my outdoor furniture. Of course, it’s not really time to start resorting to such drastic measures and I will have a few weeks left to enjoy my outdoors.
Still, even with that [...]
